Happy Valentines Everyone !!!

How has your day been so far and have you done anything nice with your better half?

Hubz and I have a kiddies free weekend but I really did not feel like going out for a meal so we decided to pick up a meal deal from Tesco a main, side, dessert and a bottle of wine for £10 who can argue with that price right?

Well I thought it would be good but to be honest I was a bit disappointed and now I am cooking a whole new meal as this was just not enough and was really not what I expected but never mind.
I know we would of saved around £8 with this deal but I think I would of rather just cook from the scratch in the first place.

Have a great weekend everyone and let me know how your day went.

  3. Happy Valentine's! My hubby just got home from work a few hours ago. He made me dinner and ran me a bubble bath. I'm feeling under the weather (horrible tooth pain) so we arent doing too much! Hope you have a wonderful day!

  4. Well we had great plans but sadly my website decided to act up today. My site was down for 10 hours so my husband and I spent most of the day on the phone and now we are postponing Valentine's Day till tomorrow. We will head down to Old Montreal for a nice dinner..

  5. That sounds like our parent date nights. For us, that means a night we don't have to cook a well-balanced meal and can lazily hang out with out nagging our daughter :P

  7. We ended up staying in last night because it was so cold here. My husband did go out and get all of us some tasty food, though. It was still a great Valentine's Day, though.

  9. I love Meal Deals but it is disappointing when you are not satisfied with the deal. That is normally my luck.

  11. I am not familiar with Tesco. Too bad it was not what you had in mind. At least you got a kid free weekend though.

  15. The family enjoyed an upscale buffet in town this morning for brunch (we had coupons!). The bad part is a lot of people had the same idea and the food line was annihilated. We weren't happy with the dismal choices left. But we still chatted, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company. How dissatisfied were we? Think 8 minutes from the time we were paid through being shown a table, going through the food line, eating just a bit, and walking hungry out the door.

  19. I am starting to appreciate my own home cooked meals. Yes the pre-made or processed meals make my stomach hurt...
