TLC Sports Review!!

This is the time of year that everyone starts thinking about the Gym and getting back in shape after Christmas.

I was kindly sent a workout outfit from TLC Sports to review.

TLC Sports is a family run company which of course is always good, they manufacture all of their products themselves which means a lower cost but great quality.

I Think We Just Found A False Widow Spider!!!

I hate spiders like really hate them.

The kids were out playing and our oldest was taking photos as always he started shouting his dad to look at something next thing I know hubs was saying it was a spider so I went to have a look from a distance of course.Hubs got a match and burnt it and its web and in the hole it was in just in case there was any more.

Hubs took a couple of pics we would not let JR, which I will show you but I am 70% sure it is a false widow it looks like one anyway. Now I am worried for the kids playing outside and the animals if they disturb one and get bitten.

Pizza Express Review!

On Wednesday last week Hubs and I finally managed to have a nice lunch together which we hardly ever have time to do with everything else going on.

We were invited to head on down to our local branch of Pizza Express at Braehead and first off let me start by saying sorry that there is not as many photos as I wanted to get but I mean you know what are you supposed to do when all you want to do is eat.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Chris who made us feel very welcome and once we had decided where to sit brought us over our menus,we chose the real comfy seats and also at this time (12pm) there was not too many people which is how I like it.

The rest of the week for me I think will be trying to get through the mountain of emails I have and resting so next week I can come back feeling refreshed :)

Wendy Brown Art Is Amazing!!

I love art and I am always on the look out for something nice for our home and for the kids rooms especially,At the end of last year I came across Wendy Brown Art . Wendy is a very talented lady that does some really fun art that not only will your kids love you will too.

Wendy very kindly sent us a box of goodies I had shown the kids beforehand the kids of art that Wendy does so they were all excited when the box arrived well The youngest two were asleep as for some reason the delivery company thought it would be ok to deliver at 9:30pm,so we did one unboxing for the older kids in the night packed it all back up and did it all over again for the other 2 the next morning as the older 2 could not wait till the next morning.

We were sent a selection from the Meadow Valley range,

From the website:
If you follow the winding path amongst the oak trees, cross the stream on the little wooden bridge and turn right by the hawthorn bush where the robin sings, you will come to a rickety old gate. On the other side of this gate is a world where all these creatures live, and it's called Meadow Valley.

We had a bit of fun with the kids a while back thanks to Morphsuits and my Bro-In-Law having lots of fun.

When Hubz and I brought the kids came back from school one day they were shocked and excited to see Iron Man waiting for them at home especially the youngest two, there were plenty of giggles to be had but I think it was me that laughed more, it was really hard to take Bro-In-Law serious dressed like this and the more he was messing around and posing the more Hubz and I were laughing Crying with laughter.

Here are just a few photos,

Best home made snack---Biltong!!

Last year I shared my love of biltong on here which is simply dried, cured meat that originated in Southern Africa. I have had a love for this for many year but it starts to get expensive when you eat it as much as I do,I had to find a way to be able to enjoy but not spend as much money as I had been and since my oldest daughter loves it just as much as I do.

The answer was simple lets make it at home. We brought a cheap biltong box off the internet which is basically a plastic storage box with plastic rails a lamp fitting for a bulb and a fan.

African Beans And Sweetcorn!!

Here is a nice and filling meal that our whole family love.

Adalu (African Bean and Sweetcorn Mixture).

  • White or brown beans 1 Teacup per 2 adults
  • Sweetcorn -However much you feel, We normally use tinned sweetcorn and a medium sized tub.
  • Ginger to flavour little slice and peeled
  • 1 bulb Onion (chopped)
  • Palm oil – 5 Teaspoons
  • Maggi – 2 cubes
  • Salt and black/white ground pepper to taste.
  • 1 bulb Scotch bonnet pepper (sliced)

Put large pot on medium heat; add in water. Cover and bring to a boil, add in the beans. Leave to cook for up to 40 minutes or until soft.

Add in the palm oil, onions, ginger and all other ingredients.
Turn down the heat and cover leave to Simmer for 20 minutes.

Happy New Year!!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year, ours was very eventful to say the least.
Now its time to get back on here and catch up I think this is the longest I have not blogged in a while,I have missed it but also the break was good.

Lots coming up this month including some great reviews that I have been looking forward to showing you all.

Oh and as for New Years Resolutions let me know what yours were, for me they were simple,

  • Get more organised with this blog,

  • Go somewhere new every weekend with the kids, there are so many places to see and I think the kids are at the ages where they are really wanting to see more, the oldest 2 are always wanting to go and see castles and anything to do with history which I think they get from me as I am a bit of a history geek lol.

They are all in to anything animals so I am planning on getting them some animal experiences like the zoo keeper for a day etc.

So far that is all I have.

Wishing you all the best for 2015!!
