There are still some good people in this world.

So today i am kind of trying keep up but struggling, i am over tired and feel like well just yuck right now, my to do list just keeps getting longer.
I have managed to do some of it but while i have some peace and quiet there is more i want to catch up on including some more posts to put up.

While i was eating breakfast i was looking at some videos online that i wanted to share with you all.
Nowadays people are to wrapped up in their own worlds or in to much of a rush to stop and help someone that needs it but in watching these videos you can see there are still people that will stop and do the right thing the bad part is watching others just go on and not even think to help.

So take some time have a break and watch these.

When was the last time you took time to help someone and what was it?

  1. My mother always told me to treat others the way you want to be treated. Words to live by!

    1. Me too and yes its a shame that more people do not,I mean in all honesty a couple of minutes out of your day to help someone is not going to hurt.

  3. I enjoyed watching these videos, especially the second one. I saw a similar themed video of a boy without a coat at the bus stop in the city. Folks were kind enough to give him their coats, mittens etc....it was part of some campaign. Following the golden rule translates to good karma!

  4. Treat others the way you would want to be treated- I live and breath this "rule". It's such a shame that not everyone does.

  5. Thank you for this post! I can always use uplifting things. It can get hard when it seems like you just keep meeting people that are arrogant or rude but it's nice to find people that are kind and helpful. Hope you have a great day!

  6. The last time I helped someone was when I gave a neighbor a ride to the store because her vehicle was broke down. It's always important to help because good karma will come to you.

    1. We also try to teach this - less about competition and more about caring.

  8. Those were nice videos, very uplifting. I helped a young mom get through a door with her baby and toddler and stroller and diaper bag. I remember those days so well!

  9. You couldn't be more right. So many times we are caught up in own worlds and what we need. I try to think about what others need but I need to do a better job. Thanks for the reminder.

  10. A few days ago I was at Trader Joe's and noticed an older woman struggling to put her groceries into her car. I helped her with her bags and she looked as though she wanted to cry.

  11. We used to stop and help people all the time, but now it is really sad because even if someone is in need, often times me, as a female don't dare to stop for fear it could be some evil design as a trap. Or my husband stops to help and they freak out and won't accept it because they think he might be someone going to hurt them. The few evil people in this world have really messed up things for the good people who would be willing to help someone else out.

So we try to do more for the people we know that will accept our help. Even though we still try now and then to help strangers when possible.

  12. Thanks for sharing these videos! Sometimes I get really down about all the bad things in the world, but I have to stop and remember that there are good things and good people out there. My mom always taught me to live by the golden rule, and I wish more people did.

  13. Those kinds of videos always make me all teary-eyed. I think it does our hearts good to know that people like that exist.

  14. I always want to help, but sometimes I don't because I am afraid. You never know if it's a trap {Ted Bundy used this on his victims} or it's a dangerous situation. I don't want to inadvertently put my girls in danger. When I am sure that it's safe, I stop and help. Always.

  15. I find sometimes when I'm thinking all hope is lost, that's when someone reminds me there is still amazing people within the human race..

A friend reminded me if it just the other day :) x

  16. I completely agree with you. Many people forget the importance of the Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have done unto you.

  17. I think the world would go around so much nicer if everyone treated others as they wished to be treated. It just makes sense.

  20. One of my favorite sayings is be nice to people on your way up because you never know when you will be on your way down. My mom used to tell me that all the time when I was little!
